Who doesn’t feel like they were born in the wrong decade? Artist Turner Hull sure does... Coming from a long line of artists, Turner has always expressed her creativity through art.
Watching her two grandmothers, aunt, and mother pursue a career in art, it was always in the back of her mind to chase after that dream too. After graduating from the University of Mississippi in 2018, she decided to also turn her long standing creative outlet into a career.
Turner finds most of her inspiration through music. Growing up with two amazing, music-loving parents, she never listened to Kids Bop. Who had time for that when you could listen to the Beatles? Or Allman Brothers? This grew a deep appreciation for music of all types. But it was Fleetwood Mac sent her down the 70’s rabbit hole that Turner has yet to come out from. So, when Turner saw a round canvas at her local art supply store, she knew exactly what to do. Disco balls. Each disco ball is inspired by its groovy namesake that echoes through Turner’s studio.
