Merritt Voitier

Merritt Voitier is Baton Rouge born and raised. Art serves as her creative outlet but her true calling in life is ministering to adolescents. Merritt is a Professional School Counselor in Baton Rouge and has the joy and privilege of working with middle school students. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Louisiana State University in 2015 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. Merritt’s artistic inspiration comes from God’s beautiful creations in nature. Her hand painted butterfly pieces are one of a kind and each carefully crafted and created. Her most treasured piece is actually created from handmade cards students have gifted her over the years. The striking transformation of the butterfly is a magnificent reminder of growth, renewal, hope and faith. Merritt enjoys watching her bright and vivid butterflies come to life on paper. Her desire is for each piece to bring joy and serve as a reminder that we are constantly transforming and growing in grace. In her free time, Merritt loves hosting others, traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband, Jim, and their loveable labrador, Early.
